Children continue to gain confidence from attending weekly lessons with their friends, followed by the opportunity to perform in front of an adoring audience at various concerts and shows. Watching your child with new found skills and the self belief to participate, is a milestone to cherish.
These exciting children’s classes introduce the world of performance and dance by incorporating basic dance technique, music interpretation, singing like a star, and character development with costuming and props. Over three exciting themes are introduced to the young dancers each term. Every new theme creates a fresh learning environment as different props, instruments, costumes, music and choreography are introduced to the children. The many different themes include: Circus; Exploring Adventures; Party Time; A Pirate’s Life; On The Farm; Let’s Visit Italy; and more…
As the students progress towards the upper levels, we let loose with cool dance styles such as Hip Hop Jazz. They also get to listen and dance to all the latest hit music.
All classes are 45 minutes in length.
Kindy (2-3 yrs)
Explore the world of Cheeky Monkey and all of his adventures! Each month brings a different program theme – including singing, dancing, character role-play, acting and problem solving. We love to dress up, and every month Kindy students will receive a song word sheet for the current theme.
Preschool (4 yrs)
In our preschool classes, we keep to the monthly themes – however we begin the development of dance skills and technique. The program includes choreography, singing and using a microphone.
Junior (5-6 yrs)
Our junior classes are a fun mix of Cheeky Monkey Club programs and an introduction to Hip Hop.
Intermediate (7-11 yrs)
We take Hip Hop and Jazz to the next level with our intermediate students. Here we concentrate on technique, flexibility, and learning choreography.
Senior (12+ yrs)
Our seniors get into the swing of mastering routines and learn the tricks on how to get the most out of their dancing through a healthy lifestyle and practice.

Students will have the opportunity to perform at our exciting themed Performance Shows. These themed shows provide a wonderful opportunity for students to gain confidence and showcase their developing dance and performance skills to family and friends.
All Kindy and Preschool students are required to wear a Cheeky Monkey T-Shirt (4 colours to choose from) with black leggings or black shorts. No shoes required for these levels. Cheeky Monkey T-Shirts are available for purchase ($22.00).
All Junior and Intermediate students are required to wear a Cheeky Monkey T-Shirt (4 colours to choose from) with black leggings or black shorts. Students must also wear fully-closed dance or sporting shoes. Cheeky Monkey T-Shirts are available for purchase ($22.00).
All Senior students are required to wear a Red Cheeky Monkey T-Shirt with black leggings or black shorts. Students must also wear fully-closed dance or sporting shoes. Cheeky Monkey T-Shirts are available for purchase ($22.00).
CMC T-Shirts are available in Red, Green, Yellow & Blue for $22 and are required for Classes and Performance Shows.
All students must have a tidy appearance, with hair back off their face and neck.
